Thanksgiving 2007

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day, 2007. It is a day to give thanks for all our blessings. Erin Leigh Fitzpatrick was a very special blessing to our home along with her dear brother, David, and her baby sister, Heather Lynn, even though we never got to see or hold our Heather since she was born still and had already gone back to be with Jesus. Erin brought such joy and happiness into her mom and dad's life. She was as happy as she was beautiful as she grew up. She had many friends everywhere we went. Our home was constantly filled with little girls as she had slumber parties or just had friends over all during her school years. She was very talented and helped her mom and dad do many things. She loved to decorate and garden and landscape.
So, as tomorrow comes and we are giving thanks with out friends, we remember our Erin, a ray of sunshine to our home. She will only be with us in spirit, in our hearts, minds, and souls since she, too, has gone to be with Jesus.
Erin, for 23 beautiful years you were given to us to be our daughter, our sister, our friend. It was not nearly long enough for us for we miss you more than words can begin to say. But God, in His great wisdom, decided you had accomplished your destiny. Our home is still sad and lonely, just like our hearts. But we are still thankful that we held you in our arms and our hearts for 23 years. I had rather have just had you for 23 years than not to have had you at all.
I will miss you and cry for you until that day I hold you in my arms again.
I love you, my dearest daughter!!! Give your baby sister my love, too, for I long for the day I will finally look on her face and hold her in my arms at last.
Love,
Mama
